Will Israel Rule the World in 2016?

Todays post will make a prophecy for Israel this year (2016) based on the books of Moses and the history of Israel.

When Israel Ruled the world

What many do not realize is that at one time Israel was the ruling nation of the world. Before, Babylon, Israel was a world power and God was working through them to control the world. In the days of Solomon, the bible tells us that;

“ … And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.” 1Ki 4:20,21

It makes sense that Israel were the greatest nation on the earth. If the almighty, all knowing, all-powerful God were to set up a nation, off course it would be the most powerful on the earth. However, it is important to emphasise that there was a catch to their rulership. In order for Israel to stay in this position, they had to diligently keep all of the commands God gave to them as a people.

Deu 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

The reason why Israel were so powerful in the days of David and Solomon, was that David was a man after God’s own heart who obeyed all the commandments of God, except for one occasion when he committed adultery. Because of David’s righteousness (2 Sam 22:21), God blessed Israel and while Solomon was also following the ways of his father, the nation also was blessed.

1Ki 15:5 David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

The fall of Israel

Now the question is, why isn’t Israel a world power now, and the answer to this is in line with the previous texts. As we have just seen that God would exalt Israel if they were obedient to his will. He also told them that if they were not, they would suffer the consequences of their actions and be cursed. These consequences are called the curse of Moses, which is found in Deuteronomy 28.

Deu 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

Throughout their history, they turned astray from the commandments of God and worshipped idols and did many things abominable in his sight. So God had to turn away from Israel and they received the just consequences for their actions. In Solomon’s reign, he turned away from God in a very serious way and from here you see the progressive downfall of the nation. Starting from the reign of his son Rehoboam, the kingdom was split in two, then things decline until the entire kingdom which once ruled the world was taken into captivity by the Assyrians and Babylonians.

If you read the bible, you will notice that there is a direct link between actions and consequence, some people call it Karma, some the law of cause and effect, the bible calls it, reaping what you sow.

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Gal 6:7

Prophecy for 2016

So bringing it down to today…The main prophecy for Israel this year is based upon Deut 28:1.

Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

Yes Israel is going to rule the world again. And Yes in 2016. And No, I am not talking about the physical nation of Israel ruled by Rivlin … I doubt very much it is not going to rule the world again. But I am applying this prophecy to Spiritual Israel, which is made up of people who are true followers of God.

Rom 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

This concept of spiritual Israel applies more closely to Seventh Day Adventists (this will be explained more fully in a future post). We have been given a prophet to guide us…Ellen G White. Her writings do seem long and dry sometimes, but the thing is they are actually beneficial. The reason the church is so dead at the moment is that like Israel of old we are on a large scale rebelling against the bible and most of the messages the holy spirit gave to us through her pen. Often times, the teaching of the bible and spirit of prophecy seem hard to do, but they are that way because God’s ways our higher than our ways and God wants to take us to higher height than the world and the only way he can do that is by asking us to do things the world is not willing to do.

“a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1Pe 2:9

Let me give you a practical example of how when God’s people follow him, they become a light in this world today. Scientists in the US have found that SDA’s are the healthiest non-ethnic group in the world. By non-ethnic I mean a group made up of people with various genetics from different backgrounds.

Basically, people who follow the health message given us through the bible and EGW, live the longest, and are the healthiest on the planet (check out the studies [1,2,3]). Findings also show that there is a difference for those even in Adventism. Those who are fully vegan live for longer than those who have eggs and dairy in their diets, who live for longer than those who eat meat.

Exo 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

If we with humble hearts believe God, accept his commands and follow them with all our hearts we also will be blessed beyond measure in this year so that in our own sphere’s we will become rulers. God is calling all of those who are called by his name to give themselves totally to him, and live up to all of the commands he has given us, to take all of the words of the bible and all the words of inspiration, and live them out 100% in our lives.

For me this will be following all of the biblical and spirit of prophecy guidance on diet and health and being grateful for the work God has given me. For you it may be reading the bible daily, taking more time to fellowship with others, turning of the TV, we all have different things God is convicting us on.

Lets put them away and fully obey God in all things, so that God’s desire can be fulfilled and that Israel can once again rule the world.
